DETERMINE YOUR SKIN TYPE!
Rather sensitive or normal? We will show you what skin types there are and help you to determine your personal skin type.
It is important to know what skin type you have. Only then can you find the right skin care products for you.
WHAT SKIN TYPES ARE THERE?
In order to be able to care for your skin in the best possible way, it is important to know your own skin type. This is not always easy, because every skin is different and changes over time. External influences, such as air pollution or ingredients in cosmetics, can affect the appearance of your skin. But also nutrition, stress, genetic predisposition or aging influence the change in your skin type.
Nevertheless, there are 5 types according to which you can classify your skin in general:
* combination skin
* dry skin
* normal skin
* impure skin
* mature skin
SKIN TYPE 1: COMBINATION SKIN
Combination skin is not always easy to care for, as different skin types come together here: normal to dry skin and oily, impure skin.
Skin type combination skin:
* oily shine
* tends to impurities in the T-zone
* the cheek area is rather dry
Combination skin shines and tends to have small impurities – especially in the so-called T-zone between forehead, nose and chin. The cheek area on the other hand is normal to dry. Choose a skin care product that is directly tailored to your skin type to help restore the skin’s own moisture balance.
Combination skin needs moisture, as it tends to dryness. It is also often impure, which is why facial cleansing is so essential.
THE RIGHT SKIN CARE FOR COMBINATION SKIN
The T-zone requires special attention in the care of this skin type. This defines an area in the middle of the face that resembles the letter T. It affects the forehead, nose and chin. It is particularly exposed to external influences. In addition, compared to other parts of the face, there are many sebaceous glands.
We have some tips for the care of combination skin for you:
* Thoroughly cleanse the skin before applying facial care. A Cleansing Mousse, for example, is suitable for this.
* Wash your face with lukewarm water. Hot and cold water cause skin irritation and moisture loss.
* Use a moisturizer regularly – a hazelnut-sized amount is enough!
* Always choose a product that is especially suitable for combination skin.
SKIN TYPE 2: DRY SKIN
Your skin looks brittle and flaky? Dry skin lacks moisture and lipids – i.e. lipids. Therefore, it is not very elastic, tight and tends to itch in many cases. It reacts particularly to environmental influences with irritation and often with redness. Approximately 30% of the population tends to dry skin, and some are even affected by very dry skin.
Skin type dry skin:
* tightens and tends to itch
* brittle and scaly appearance
* reacts quickly to external influences, such as cold or heat
With special care creams you refill the moisture depots and strengthen the skin’s protective barrier. You can also consciously counteract dry skin with nutrition.
Dry skin is very sensitive. Itching and dandruff are common symptoms.
SKIN TYPE 3: NORMAL SKIN
Smooth and soft, with fine pores and a rosy complexion: when you see this in the mirror, you have normal skin. Even the occasional beauty sins are not something she will hold against you.
Skin appearance of normal skin:
* soft, fine-pored, unproblematic
* rosy complexion
* good blood circulation and elastic
But to maintain its healthy appearance, normal skin also needs moisture and protection. Nevertheless, when caring for this skin type, you should not forego daily cleansing and the use of a suitable day cream.
Normal skin is very easy to care for. But do not underestimate it! It also needs moisture and protection to stay beautiful.
